We’re looking for a proactive Mechanical Engineer to join our Technology & Improvement team and take a hands-on role delivering capital projects across our Australind Pigment Plant and Kemerton Processing Plant, just north of Bunbury in WA’s stunning Southwest region.

This is a full-time site-based role, and successful candidates will need to reside in the Southwest region of Western Australia. Relocation is provided for the successful candidate .

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who wants to expand their career into project delivery — managing diverse projects from start to finish.

In this role you will plan, execute, and monitor various Capital Projects from inception to completion for the Pigment Operations.

As a key part of our capital projects team, you’ll be responsible for delivering brownfield process and infrastructure projects from $100k to $2M in value. Duties include:

* Manage 10–15 concurrent projects at varying stages (6-month to 2-year timeframe)
* Develop project plans, budgets, scopes of work, schedules, and execution strategies
* Coordinate contractors and oversee site execution, ensuring safe and timely delivery
* Requesting quotes from and managing sub-contractors relevant to the project.
* Interpret drawings and review scopes of work to ensure it is reflected in pricing and project execution.
* Maintain, track and report on project progress and performance.
* Ensure designs meet ISO 9001 and regulatory requirements
* Support engineering documentation, QA/QC, and statutory approvals
* Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Production, and Technical teams
* Coordinating and supervising the work of contractors against project KPI’s and milestones.
* Contribute to continuous improvement, asset integrity, and replacement projects
* Performing design calculations and checking / approving information on safety critical equipment.

Safety Critical Responsibilities:

* Comply to and promote Company safety standards and procedures to contribute to an incident-free environment.
* Promoting process safety through exemplary behaviour and proactively increasing the awareness of process safety in others on site.
* Developing design scope specifications for projects, ensuring appropriate input and sign-off.

About You

We’re keen to hear from Mechanical Engineers who are ready to step into or grow further in project-based work. Ideally, you’ll bring:

* A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
* At least 3 years’ post-grad experience, ideally in a fixed plant environment
* Experience managing or assisting with capital projects (highly advantageous)
* Strong understanding of brownfield sites and project lifecycle delivery
* Exposure to chemical processing, mining, or other major hazard facilities (preferred)
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities
* Great communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams
* Confident use of MS Office and relevant engineering tools
