The Cellar Edit is a storytelling-led wine subscription, rooted in storytelling. Through our curated monthly wine drops, intimate tastings, winemaker events, and signature wine bar moments, we explore the people, places, and feelings behind every bottle.
We're looking for a Sommelier to join our growing business to help us build something special from the ground up.
Who You Are
* A trained sommelier or wine professional with deep knowledge of both local and international wines.
* Passionate about storytelling, education, and experience design - you know how to make wine feel accessible, special, and soulful.
* You're confident leading tastings and small events, and love curating pairings for different moods, menus, and moments.
* You know your way around logistics; managing stock, working with distributors, placing orders, and maintaining cellar integrity.
* You're a team player. You work collaboratively, adapt quickly, and thrive in a creative, fast-moving environment.
What You'll Be Doing
* Curating wines for our monthly drops, retail selection, and venue experiences with a strong focus on seasonality, region rotation, and storytelling.
* Leading intimate tastings, private events, and in-house wine education for our team and guests.
* Working alongside our culinary and events team to build pairings, flavour experiences, and wine-led activations.
* Liaising with distributors and winemakers to secure allocations and manage relationships.
* Supporting broader event operations as needed.
Bonus Points If You…
* Have experience working with emerging or niche winemakers.
* Have done private client work or wine club curation.
* Understand natural/minimal intervention wines and can communicate nuance without gatekeeping.
* Are excited by the idea of building something from its early days
What We Offer
* A chance to be part of something intimate, different, and soulful.
* The opportunity to grow with the business as we expand into retail, events, and hospitality.
* Wine. Lots of wine
Please apply with your resume and a short note about your relationship with wine, your favourite bottle of the past year, and what drew you to The Cellar Edit.
