This Opportunity As a Laboratory Technician at TasWater you will perform microbiological and chemical testing on water and wastewater samples to ensure all testing results meet the necessary compliance, operational standards and our environmental and public health requirements. Key Accountabilities Previous experience in the following areas will help you succeed in this role will be; Reporting of corrective actions and non-conformances, Participate in regular proficiency testing, internal audits, risk assessments, external audits and training Perform chemical or microbiological testing following the Laboratory Quality Manual within the guidelines of NATA 17025 and following instructions from Chemist and Microbiologist regarding technical issues Promote Zero Harm and adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times Perform general laboratory duties associated with testing including; quality controls, calculations, equipment calibration and maintenance, The Details This is a casual position that will be based at our Selfs Point laboratory, in Newtown, just outside Hobart city. This position offers a casual working arrangement and an hourly rate of $47.43.
