Paediatrician Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatrician to join our dynamic team at the Royal Hobart Hospital. As a key member of our paediatric department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients and their families in an inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory setting.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a commitment to excellence in patient care, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. A passion for teaching and research is also desirable.
About the Role
This fixed-term, part-time position involves working 45.6 hours per fortnight, with on-call responsibilities. The successful applicant will be required to provide clinical services of the highest possible standard to paediatric and adolescent patients and their families. Key responsibilities include:
* Providing clinical care to patients in an inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory setting
* Promoting and participating in research in one of the research focus areas of the Tasmania School of Medicine and Department of Paediatrics
* Actively pursuing improved outcomes for paediatric and adolescent patients by participating in post-graduate teaching, audit, and evaluation
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following essential requirements:
* Holds specialist registration
* Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration
Desirable Requirements
While not essential, recent experience in inpatient and outpatient general paediatrics would be highly desirable.
