- Become a Trusted Authority: Share your insights by contributing to technical reports, specifications, and documentation, making complex data accessible and impactful to shape meaningful decisions.
You Have
- Recently completed your degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD) in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
- Australian or New Zealand permanent residency or citizenship.
- Demonstrated experience in simulation and related software through projects, research, or work experience, with a focus on areas like mechanical, electric field, magnetic, thermal, or motion simulation is a bonus.
- Familiarity with CAD tools (experience with Siemens NX is a plus!)
- A solid understanding of mechanical design fundamentals (stress, loads, materials, tolerances, manufacturability).
- Excellent attention to detail with strong communication skills to explain technical results clearly.
- A proactive approach and eagerness to get hands‑on in the R&D; lab, collaborating to bring designs to life.

As part of the OMVS team based in Yatala, Qld, you’ll contribute to pioneering technology that intelligently protects overhead medium voltage networks, setting industry standards and driving the path toward a sustainable, net‑zero future. We are a global centre of competence including product lifecycle management, R&D;, manufacturing, global business development and customer care for the Siemens overhead portfolio.
