Senior Applications Engineer (Team Lead)
Lead a team, deliver technical excellence and shape innovative pumping solutions. We’re seeking a highly skilled Senior Applications Engineer (Team Lead) to join our team based in Arndell Park. This is a full‑time management role where you’ll combine your technical expertise in pumping systems with mentoring responsibilities, guiding a team of Application Engineers while supporting both internal teams and external customers.
You’ll play a pivotal role in designing and delivering tailored solutions that meet performance, efficiency and compliance requirements across industries such as water, wastewater, mining and industrial sectors.
What you’ll do
* Lead and mentor a team of Applications Engineers across the region
* Analyse customer specifications and recommend pump solutions
* Prepare technical proposals, layouts and performance calculations
* Provide pre‑ and post‑sales technical support and troubleshooting
* Collaborate with stakeholders to optimise product and system performance
* Oversee bid and tender reviews to ensure best‑in‑class submissions
What we’re looking for
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (fluid dynamics/pump tech training advantageous)
* 5+ years’ experience in customer service or technical sales
* Previous pump/water industry experience desirable
* Strong technical skills in pump selection software and Microsoft Office
* Ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs and specifications
* Detail‑oriented, customer‑focused and collaborative mindset
* Excellent communication skills with resilience and results‑driven approach
