Summary Of Duties
Summary of Duties:
Cleans warehouse distribution center (75%) and office (25%). Performs routine cleaning including vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floorsDusting, washing walls, doors, and windows, and emptying trash. Perform minor preventative maintenance and minor repairs. Assist service personnel as needed.Reports major repair and maintenance needs.Ensure that you have all of the needed janitorial equipment.Operates floor scrubber.Sweeps and vacuums dock and mop sanitation barriers.Empties trash bins from all locations in the cooler, freezer, grocery and loading dock, offices and break areas.Empties cardboard and plastic recycling and compacts.Keeps all areas free of debris such as wood fragments, pallet wrap, labels, and paper.Removes empty pallets and clean and mop slots.Discards leaking product and records on the reconditioning log.Reports any violation of company policy to supervisor.Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe QualityFood (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for duties in accordance with HACCP and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures appropriate for location.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Previous sanitation/cleaning experience in a warehouse environment.Good communication skills (written/oral) in the English language.Able to repetitively lift, load, unload, and/or move product weighing between 5-50 lbs on occasion.Able to safely operate warehouse equipment, such as Walkie Riders/Electric Pallet Jacks, and Floor Scrubbers.Able to work in different temperature-controlled environments including Dry, Cooler (3-5˚C), and Freezer (-20˚C).Able to read and correctly interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Good organizational skills.Sense of urgency with ability to work well under pressure.Able to work effectively in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.Able to be flexible regarding tasks.Able to stand and work on feet for extended periods of time in a cool, damp environment.Attention to detail.Has a high regard for safety.
