Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Consumer Editor to join our team.
In this role, you will lead a high-performing Advice Content Team, delivering quality content to brief and timeline in a fast-paced setting.
Reporting to the Director of Content, you will be a seasoned journalist with a keen interest in the automotive industry, leveraging your expertise to maintain high standards of quality and credibility.
Day to day you will:
Manage and lead a high-performance Advice team to deliver quality content on deadline.
Act as a content innovator, generating ideas for breaking, insight, and trending Advice content.
Analyse audience and engagement data to inform content creation.
Create and deliver accurate and timely written, video, audio, and photographic content.
Provide clear, direct, and timely feedback to journalists.
Implement cutting-edge search engine optimisation (SEO) strategies to maximise content visibility.
Work with Publishing and Marketing teams to maximize content engagement opportunities.
Ensure all news content complies with legal and ethical regulations.
Qualifications
What you'll bring:
Tertiary qualifications in journalism, communications, or a related field.
Extensive experience in mainstream journalism with an interest in automotive.
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent research and fact-checking skills.
Strong networking skills, internal and external.
Extensive experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) and SEO best practices.
Proven organisational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
Full drivers license.
