We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Casual Chef to join our team at the Geelong Waterfront campus kitchen. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, working closely with other chefs to prepare and present high-quality food to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Organising and managing your assigned section in the kitchen, including preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
* Assisting with order placement, cleaning, and preparation tasks as required.
* Adhering to health and hygiene standards at all times, ensuring that our food is prepared and presented safely and efficiently.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* Minimum 2 years of experience working in a commercial kitchen.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients from diverse backgrounds.
* A positive attitude and strong work ethic, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
* The ability to apply for and maintain a Working With Children Check, which is required for this role.
