**The Opportunity**
Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for overseeing internal communications and managing a rapidly growing team of communications officers, in a newly established communications function.
This position may be offered in a non-ongoing capacity, or via a temporary S26 transfer if you are already a permanent APS employee.
**Key duties will include**:
- Oversight, develop and implement engaging internal communication plans and staff campaigns that meet stakeholder needs.
- Oversight and deliver high quality internal communication services and products to staff for the department's Senior Executive, employee networks, line areas and general staff.
- Work in collaboration with our stakeholders to develop and maintain our internal key events calendar and support their internal events, including promotions, logistics and 'on the day' assistance.
- Compile and evaluate analytics about our key internal channels to facilitate ongoing improvements to internal communications and staff engagement.

**Skills and Experience required**:
Previous experience at the EL1 level in an Internal Communications or Executive Communications position is essential.
A baseline security clearance is required for this role, and to be considered for this position you must be a current Australian Citizen.
