About the role
As an Out of Home Care Worker, you will work across our two divisions:
* Temporary Staff Services (DCP placements)
* Residential Care Services (HenderCare placements)
Your schedule includes a flexible roster, typically 8‐hour shifts that may include overnight recovery duties. You will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to equip you to provide high‐quality support to children and young people in care.
Responsibilities
* Liaise with DCP and case managers regarding the child/young person.
* Accompany school runs and assist with homework.
* Assist with daily routines and attend appointments.
* Provide therapeutic care, helping children and young people build positive beliefs and trustworthy, respectful relationships.

Eligibility Criteria
Qualifications:
* Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention
* Certificate IV in Community Services
* Certificate IV in Youth Work
* Certificate IV in Disability
Complete or enrol to complete minimum training in:
* HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting (within the past 3 years)
* HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate (issued within the past 12 months)
Required clearances to have or to apply for:
* Current Working with Children Check (issued within the past 5 years)
* Current National Police Check
* Current NDIS workers screening check
* Suitable Psychological Assessment
Additional requirements:
* Relevant Australian working rights
* Current South Australian Driver's License (P2 or above)
* Your own private vehicle fully registered
* Vehicle Roadworthiness Report for vehicles older than 10 years, signed off by an RAA Approved Mechanic
