About the Role
We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join the dynamic team at EightyOne Bistro & Taphouse, a vibrant and modern dining venue in Berwick, Victoria. The successful candidate will have a passion for creativity, consistency, and hospitality, delivering memorable meals that pair perfectly with our rotating selection of craft beers.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop menus, forecast food and labor expenses, and manage food supply orders.
* Oversee the quality of dishes throughout preparation and presentation.
* Collaborate with Managers, Dietitians, and kitchen and service staff on food preparation concerns.
* Show cooking methods and provide guidance on culinary techniques.
* Cook and prepare meals.
* Communicate and ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
* Manage inventory levels and ensure efficient use of ingredients to minimise waste.
Requirements
* More than one year of experience in a similar setting.
* Hold a Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery, Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management.
