Street Furniture Australia is seeking a Graphics Assistant to support our Marketing team in delivering high-quality visual content, collateral and events that strengthen our brand across multiple touchpoints.
This is an ideal opportunity for a junior designer with a strong eye for detail, solid technical skills and an interest in design for the public realm. You'll work closely with the Graphic Designer and Marketing team, contributing to everyday design execution and across product, digital, social and event-based projects.
About the role
As Graphics Assistant, you'll play a hands-on role in creating and updating visual content across our website, StreetChat e-newsletter, social media, presentations and events. You'll also assist with product-related materials, photography support and maintaining organised asset libraries.
This role suits someone early in their career who enjoys variety, values accuracy and consistency, and wants to develop their skills within a design-led organisation.
Key responsibilities
Graphics & Design
* Create graphics for the website, StreetChat e-newsletter, presentations, events and social media (Instagram and LinkedIn).
* Update and maintain website content and visuals.
* Refresh graphics for marketing collateral, stickers and labels.
* Support uniform branding and ordering.
* Of advantage: Assist with furniture visualisations for clients.
Photography & Asset Support
* Select and complete basic editing of images for web and social use.
* Upload assets to the image library using correct naming conventions to ensure easy access.
Product Management Support
* Create mockup product pages for go-to-market (GTM) activities and support updates to product renderings.
* Implement updates to Technical Sheets and Installation Guides, including applying current branding to legacy documents.
* Coordinate and manage stock of product samples.
* Assist with coordinating and maintaining the price list.
* Of advantage: Assist with 2D and 3D product files (e.g. CAD).
Events
* Support major external client events including planning, preparation of collateral and on-the-day assistance.
* Assist with internal company events as required.
About you
* Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related discipline (e.g. industrial design, architecture, interiors, landscape architecture), or 2+ years' relevant professional experience with a strong portfolio.
* Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
* Experience with WordPress (or similar CMS).
* Comfortable with basic photo editing and asset management.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Organised, proactive and keen to learn.
* Of advantage: Ability to read basic orthogonal drawings and familiarity with the built environment or design industries.
