Project Costing Specialist Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional to join our large team on the Sunshine coast as a Project Costing Officer.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Finance/Costing Officer to commence a 6-month contract starting ASAP with a strong potential of extension in a high-profile government department.
The selected candidate will have experience working within a government department and be eager for their next role, growing their experience in the Government, Project and Finance space.
Job Responsibilities:
* Undertake financial and timesheet transactions in relation to daily costing and work orders using various packages.
* Monitor financial position of projects and work orders, inventory purchases.
* Identify and assist in the implementation of procurement practices and processes.
* End of month processes and financial reports.
* Work closely with Procurement department to ensure that all purchase orders/requisitions are created as per contracts/SOAs.
* Use various packages including SAP R/3.
* Close finalised work orders in SAP, ensuring all associated Labour and material charges are included.
Selection Criteria:
* Must have high attention to detail and accuracy.
* Have worked in a data entry, payroll, accounts payable or finance focused role previously.
* Must be an advanced user on Excel, including pivot tables and V look ups.
* Experience in a similar role within a government department or large organisation.
* Experience using SAP Previously.
