Senior financial operations manager

Job Overview

This is a leadership position where you will oversee financial operations, lead administrative teams, and partner with leadership to enhance systems across accounting, HR, and IT.



Responsibilities


Finance & Accounting

* Lead all accounting functions including AP/AR, payroll, monthly close, and reconciliations.
* Evaluate and improve timely invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and compliance with tax requirements.
* Coordinate quarterly and year-end reviews with external tax/accounting partners.
* Develop forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes to inform strategic decision-making.


Human Resources

* Oversee recruiting, onboarding, and HR compliance to support operational departments.
* Manage payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations.
* Partner with managers to maintain proper staffing levels and optimize organizational efficiency.
* Manage and mentor a team of administrative staff.
* Evaluate office coverage, scheduling, and cross-training to ensure smooth operations.
* Establish systems for accuracy, accountability, and continuous process improvement.


IT & Systems Support

* Serve as primary liaison to IT partners for ERP and security systems.
* Enhance systems for tracking, data capture, and process automation across finance, HR, and operations.


General Management

* Communicate proactively with managers regarding incomplete or inaccurate information.
* Support operations and sales teams with administrative and financial needs.
* Maintain company values including technical excellence, service, accountability, and results-driven leadership.


Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
* 8+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience, including leadership responsibility.
* Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
* Experience overseeing HR and administrative functions is highly desirable.
* Demonstrated ability to manage, train, and develop teams.
* Proficiency with ERP/accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
