Claims Assessment Role
As a Claims Assessment professional at our organisation, you will be responsible for assessing light vehicle warranty claims, ensuring accurate costings and determining coverage in line with policy terms. You will also support internal claims staff, contribute to workflow improvements and play a key role in driving service delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and assess light vehicle mechanical warranty claims submitted by clients and repairers.
* Evaluate cost estimates and ensure repair procedures align with warranty policy coverage.
* Liaise with service providers and clients to validate technical details and clarify discrepancies.
* Support junior assessors and claims officers in managing and processing claims.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation to support claim decisions.
* Identify and escalate high-risk or non-standard claims as required.
* Collaborate with the Claims Manager in workflow optimisation and compliance initiatives.
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven experience in warranty, claims or mechanical assessment within automotive, insurance or warranty industries.
* Strong mechanical aptitude, with a sound understanding of light vehicle systems and components.
* Excellent communication skills with strong written and verbal abilities.
* Able to interpret policy documents and apply coverage rules to specific cases.
* Experience leading or mentoring team members is advantageous.
* Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as the General Insurance Code of Practice (GICOP) is desirable.
