Despatch – Leading Hand | Metroll Sunshine Coast
Metroll is a leading Australian manufacturer and supplier of quality metal building products, servicing residential and commercial markets nationwide. We are currently seeking a hands-on and reliable Despatch Leading Hand to join our Sunshine Coast team.
This is an early-start role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly.
About the role
You will be responsible for coordinating daily despatch activities, supporting the team on the floor, and ensuring orders are prepared and dispatched accurately and on time. This is a leading hand position, so you'll be someone who leads by example and isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves.
Working arrangement: Monday to Friday, 3.30 AM – 11.30 AM
Key responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day despatch operations
* Coordinate loading and dispatch of customer orders
* Operate forklifts safely and efficiently
* Support and guide the despatch team
* Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company standards
* Maintain accurate records and documentation
About you
* Valid driver's licence
* High Risk Forklift Licence (required)
* HR Truck Licence (advantageous but not essential)
* Previous experience in despatch, warehousing or logistics
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* A proactive, team-focused attitude
* Comfortable working early morning shifts
