The Payroll Agency is partnering with a reputable organisation looking for a Senior Payroll Officer to take full ownership of the end-to-end payroll process and play a key role in managing workers compensation and related compliance.
In this role, you'll be the go-to for all things payroll — from processing and reconciliations through to reporting, queries, and audits. You'll also oversee workers compensation claims, return-to-work coordination, and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the end-to-end payroll process for a diverse employee base
* Prepare and lodge superannuation, PAYG, and payroll tax
* Handle workers compensation claims and liaise with insurers
* Support return-to-work processes and maintain compliance documentation
* Provide timely, professional support to employees and stakeholders
* Assist with audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
About You:
* Proven experience in end-to-end payroll (ideally mid–large workforce)
* Sound understanding of workers compensation processes and legislation
* Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
* A proactive, approachable team player who enjoys accountability
