St Mary's currently has shifts available for an Activity Officer to assist in entertaining our Residents.
Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents? We're seeking compassionate, creative and energetic Activities Officer's to join our team - with a special focus on residents living with dementia.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with planning and facilitating daily lifestyle and recreational activities
* Encourage social interaction and emotional wellbeing through music, art, reminiscence therapy, sensory activities, and more
* Maintain accurate documentation
* This position would suit anyone that has a great rapport with the elderly and doesn't mind being a little silly.
* Assisting residents to the toilet, assisting with feeding and meal times and working with residents in our secure dementia wings.
* Training and education will be provided to the right applicants, particularly relating to activities with residents that have dementia.
* Teamwork is such an important part of working at St Mary's, everyday staff do their best to support each other in achieving high quality care for every Resident.
* Cert IV in Leisure & Health recommended.
