About the role

As a Technical Officer, you will play a key role in the operation of the Virology, Serology, and Molecular Diagnostics Department.

You will apply your technical expertise to perform a variety of diagnostic tests, analyse results, and contribute to problem-solving, planning, and reporting.

This role provides the opportunity to work across multiple scientific domains, applying your skills to support high-quality laboratory operations and accurate diagnostic outcomes.

In addition, you will assist in training and supervising laboratory staff, contributing to research projects, and supporting the development and adoption of new techniques and methodologies.

About You

You are a skilled and skilled laboratory specialist with a strong commitment to quality, safety, and exceptional customer service.

- Diploma or Advanced Diploma qualified with extensive experience in virology or diagnostic laboratory work.

- Proven ability to manage workloads, prioritise tasks, problem-solve, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

- Solid communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with experience training and supervising technical staff.

- Knowledgeable in laboratory quality procedures, safety practices, regulatory compliance, and handling sensitive information.
