Indigenous Service Support Officer Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Indigenous Service Support Officer to join our team.
About the Role
The Indigenous Service Support Officer will assist Youth Justice Service Centre staff in providing support and intervention services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people subject to youth justice interventions.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist and support youth justice staff and relevant community stakeholders in culturally appropriate assessment, case planning, and interventions for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and their families.
* Implement culturally appropriate individualized case plans through designing and implementing intervention strategies, negotiating with service providers, and linking clients to the services/supports they require.
* Consult and effectively work with relevant stakeholders including families, elders, other key community members, community agencies, and government departments to enhance their capacity to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and their families subject to youth justice interventions.
* Undertake a range of record and information management tasks including maintenance of case notes and records, preparation of reports, and performance reporting.
