About the Business Unit: Metropolitan Remand Centre (MRC) is a maximum-security remand facility based in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. Prisoners on remand are alleged offenders who were not bailed when charged with a crime and are awaiting the outcome of their court case. The Metropolitan Remand Centre is a 954-bed maximum-security facility for unsentenced male offenders located within the West Metropolitan Region, Department of Justice, and Community Safety. About the Role: As the Justice Officer Stores/Canteen, some of your duties will include: Some of your duties will include: * Greeting and liaising with clients and stakeholders and providing accurate advice and information in relation to justice services in accordance with business processes * Delivering justice services and maintaining accurate, confidential records and providing statistical reports in line with agreed standards and local operating procedures * As part of the Stores and Canteen team, providing business services related to Stores, Canteen, and procurement for the Metropolitan Remand Centre. This position requires direct prisoner contact and may involve weekend and public holiday work, remunerated in accordance with the applicable provision of the VPS Determination.
