You should have previous leadership experience and believe in developing your team’s skills, knowledge, and behaviors. Attention to detail, including data analysis and understanding stock flow principles, is essential to feed our pipeline and control costs.What You Will Be DoingCommunicate the business strategy and ensure that direct reports have individual goals aligned with site objectives.Create a supportive environment that values teamwork and leadership qualities.Coach, mentor, provide performance feedback, encouragement, and counseling as needed.Monitor staffing and productivity; develop plans to ensure wage performance meets or exceeds budget targets.Ensure accurate and timely completion of all administrative tasks and documentation.Manage the store’s budget, identify cost-saving opportunities, address problems, and implement corrective actions.Maintain store assets and equipment in optimal condition.Review financial trading information regularly and take corrective actions as needed.Conduct weekly reviews of Profit and Loss reports to monitor performance and implement improvements.Ensure merchandise volume and mix meet sales goals, customer needs, presentation standards, and inventory levels.What You Will Bring To The RolePrevious store or site management experienceStrong communication skills, both written and verbalProven leadership capabilitiesHigh attention to detailAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentBasic computer skillsFlexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including late nights and weekendsExperience in home improvement retail is an advantagePrevious retail experienceLife at MetcashEnjoy a supportive, flexible work environment.
