About This Opportunity
Contribute to the design, development, production and delivery of programs and courses within the UQ Business School. As Learning Design Officer, you will be responsible for developing learning and training materials that enhance teaching quality and support students/staff learning in courses and programs including those within UQBS Executive Education.
Key responsibilities will include:
o Apply knowledge of learning design and adult learning principles to the development of innovative and successful courses in the service of enhancing the student learning experience through the creation of learning and teaching resources under the direction of Learning Designers or academics.
o Communicate with and manage course contributors, including academic staff, subject matter experts and other stakeholders, to ensure the timely development, quality, consistency, and rigor of course design and content.
o Assist Learning Designers and academic staff to implement pedagogical, curriculum and assessment approaches, both online and face-to-face.
o Assist Learning Designers and academic staff to prepare learning and teaching resources.
o Seek and use knowledge of current practices and future opportunities in online and on-campus teaching and learning across the university and higher education sector.

About You
o A degree with subsequent relevant experience (preferably in an education/learning design field or similar); or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
o Proven experience in developing online and on-campus resources with the ability to provide practical support on both traditional and technology-enabled approaches to curriculum, pedagogy and assessment as informed by an understanding of how higher education students learn.
o Demonstrated commitment to responding to client needs, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders and colleagues in the development of learning content.
o Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks through time and project management as supported by good teamwork and communication skills and to work independently while maintaining attention to detail.
o Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and scholarly approach to the duties.
