Our client is seeking an experienced Bar Supervisor to oversee the bar operations at a busy restaurant and bar in Cairns, Far North Queensland. This is a permanent full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to lead a agile team in a vibrant hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily bar operations to ensure smooth service and high-quality standards.
- Manage bar staff, including organizing and allocating shifts, training, and providing performance feedback.
- Maintain product quality, stock levels, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Address customer concerns, complaints, and queries with professionalism and care.
- Foster a welcoming and friendly atmosphere to promote repeat business.
- Contribute to the marketing and promotion of the venue in the local community.
- Collaborate with management and kitchen staff to maintain a seamless front and back-of-house operation.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and values.
To be successful, you will:
- At least 1 year proven experience in a bar supervisory or similar role within a hospitality environment.
- Possess strong knowledge of beverage service, cocktails, and bar operations.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Be a reliable, organized leader with a strong work ethic.
- Have relevant qualifications in hospitality or management (preferred but not essential).
- Have a passion for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Be punctual and committed to maintaining high standards.
- Be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Have access to reliable transport.
Competitive salary ranging from $65K to $80K + Super, depending on experience.
