* Business Development Excellence: Drive specification-led growth across residential and commercial construction markets
* New Business Acquisition: Proactively hunt and secure new opportunities (phone-based and relationship-led)
* Specification Sales: Influence projects early in the design and specification cycle
* Relationship Building: Develop trusted partnerships with architects, designers, builders and project managers
* Territory Growth: Own and expand the VIC, SA & WA pipeline
* Manage approximately 70% of the role in new business development, with 30% of the role dedicated to spec sales and account management.
* Build, manage and convert an end-to-end sales pipeline through HubSpot & CE
* Present and specify heating solutions and appliances tailored to project, sustainability and design requirements
* Deliver CPD presentations, lunch & learn sessions and product demonstrations
* Execute a territory-specific sales strategy aligned with company objectives
* Conduct regular client visits across assigned regions
* Maintain deep technical knowledge across the product range and applications
* Collaborate closely with marketing, product, operations and customer service teams
* Provide accurate reporting on pipeline health, performance and market insights


What We're Seeking

* Minimum 3+ years' experience in business development, with a strong hunting track record (phone-based sales essential)
* Proven experience working with architects, designers, builders and project managers
* Strong understanding of residential and commercial construction processes, including specification cycles
* Ability to sell on value, not price
* Confident communicator with strong influencing and negotiation skills
* Technically capable and able to understand / articulate product applications
* Highly organised with strong time management and multitasking ability
* Proficient with CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, CE) and Microsoft Office
* Self-motivated, resilient and able to perform under pressure
* Willingness to travel across VIC (every 6 weeks) and both SA & WA (every 6 months)
* High-autonomy role with strong internal support
* Regular interstate travel across assigned territory
* Strong emphasis on collaboration, initiative and accountability
* Safety, compliance and customer-first mindset are non-negotiable
* Fast-paced, performance-driven environment with clear expectations
