Trainee Insurance Broker / Broker Assistant
Location: Shepparton, VIC
Salary: Circa $60,000 + Super (depending on experience)
Full-time | 5 days in office
Start Your Career in Insurance Broking - Looking to build a long-term professional career with real earning potential and progression? We’re seeking a motivated and personable individual to join our clients Shepparton-based brokerage and begin their journey in insurance broking.
You do not need direct broking experience to apply. If you have worked in insurance (health, life, claims, underwriting, call centre or support roles) that’s fantastic — but it is not essential. We are open to candidates from a wide range of backgrounds who bring the right attitude, communication skills and drive to succeed.
About the Role
This is an entry-level opportunity designed to develop you into a fully-fledged insurance broker over time. You will receive hands-on training and exposure to commercial insurance, working alongside experienced brokers who will mentor and support your development.
Initially, your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with policy administration and documentation
* Preparing renewal paperwork and new business submissions
* Liaising with clients and insurers via phone and email
* Supporting compliance and file management requirements
* Managing data entry and system updates
* Providing day-to-day support to senior brokers
As your confidence and knowledge grow, you will begin building client relationships and taking on more responsibility.

Experience in administration, compliance, customer service, banking, real estate, retail leadership, hospitality management or any insurance-related role will be highly regarded.
