About Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service:
Our regional Emergency Department sees 50,000 presentations annually, with 25% being paediatric cases. We are the referral hospital for Central Queensland and manage complex multi-specialty cases.
This department is led by emergency Physicians and Rural Generalists. Senior floor coverage is provided 16 hours a day, with an on-call senior available to come in after hours. Our team consists of 20 full-time Registrars/Principal House Officers, 8 Resident Medical Officers, and 6 Interns covering the 24/7 roster.
We seek a positive and enthusiastic Emergency Medicine Registrar or Principal House Officer to join our team. The role involves assessing and managing patients presenting to the emergency department, as well as assisting junior medical staff with patient management. This position provides valuable experience and exposure to help you develop required skills and knowledge in emergency medicine.
About You:
1. You must have an MBBS degree or equivalent to register as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA at Level 3 supervision.
* If your qualifications were obtained outside Australia, you must be eligible for registration with AHPRA under the appropriate supervision level and provide the following:
o Evidence of successful completion of IELTS or equivalent English Language test results within the last year.
o Evidence of passing the AMC MCQ (part 1) examination.
o Evidence of recent clinical practice, supported by current references.
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
What We Offer:
