ILS Manager SHFC

Essential job criteria:
The Strategic High Frequency Communications (SHFC) Program is responsible for the provision of the Defence High Frequency Communications System (DHFCS). Capability is provided through Sustainment under CJC10, and enhancement under the JNT9101PH1 Project.
The SHFC Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manager is responsible to the SHFC Program Director to provide ILS to both JNT0901PH1 and CJC10. The SHFC ILS Manager (ILSM) is responsible for the management and leadership of the SHFC ILS Team.
Key Responsibilities:
The SHFC ILSM is to:
* Lead, manage, oversee and report on all ILS Team outputs, functions and responsibilities.
* Provide support to SHFC and manage ILS Team input and resourcing through the SHFC Deputy ILM.
* Manage the delivery of all ILS related deliverables including the Integrated Logistics Support Plan (ILSP).
* Manage, review and endorse plans, as developed by the ILS Team.
* Manage the review and provision of feedback for all ILS related Prime Contractor supplied deliverables.
* Manage the ILS Team review and consolidated feedback (for subsequent release) for all ILS related contract deliverables.
* Manage export controls for the SHFC Program.
* Represent the SHFC ILS Team and function at management forums and meetings.
* Generate and submit documents to support outcomes reporting requirements.
* Administratively manage the ILS Team, including, but not limited to, annualleave scheduling, travel schedule approvals, reporting, resourcing analysis and strategic planning.
* Mentor ILS Team members where required.
* Be prepared to travel to DHFCS sites as required.
* Conduct all other tasks as directed by the SHFC Program Director.
Responsibilities and Experience:
In addition to the defined responsibilities of the position, the following requirements of this position are considered fundamental to the SHFC ILSM:
* Tertiary Qualifications in a Logistics Management related field.
* ASDEFCON suite experience.
* Experience in Defence sustainment and procurement.
* Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience in logistics related leadership and management roles, and an ability to coach and guide teams in the implementation of strategy and change.

* Act in the best interest of the Commonwealth, in a business-like manner and provide excellent stewardship of all project resources to maximize efficiency, effectiveness and value for money, constantly seeking opportunities for continuous improvement and to enhance CASG's future capacity.
* Communicate effectively with line managers and Division Head, including consultation with them and taking appropriate direction from them.
* Communicate effectively with CASG's Defence customers, supporting and other related elements of CASG, and Defence and industry partners.
