Overview
The South Coast Register in Nowra, part of Australian Community Media (ACM), is seeking an experienced journalist to join its enthusiastic and dedicated team.
This is a position for a highly motivated person with a nose for news.
The successful applicant will be versatile and prepared to cover a variety of rounds including news, council, community, entertainment or sport.
Strong writing skills and a commitment to accuracy are essential.
Flexibility is important as the successful candidate could be asked to work on weekends or evenings.
An understanding of digital and social media platforms and the ability to take quality photos are also key.
Responsibilities
Cover a range of beats such as news, council, community, entertainment and sport.
Write clear, accurate and timely stories.
Adapt to changing priorities and work hours, including weekends or evenings if required.
Utilize digital and social media platforms and capture quality photographs to accompany stories.
Qualifications
Strong writing skills and a commitment to accuracy.
