Accounting Manager
Location: Charlotte, NC
A leading renewable energy company is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join its team in Charlotte. This role reports to the Associate Director of Accounting and focuses on technical accounting, financial reporting, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee a team of 3–5, managing monthly close, account reconciliations, and cash activities
* Serve as the lead on complex accounting areas including leases, revenue, fixed assets, and impairments
* Research and apply accounting standards for new or unusual transactions
* Collaborate with external auditors and internal stakeholders
* Guide implementation of new accounting policies
* Support cross-functional initiatives and provide financial insights
Requirements:
* CPA required
* 8+ years of relevant accounting experience
* Strong technical accounting knowledge
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field (Master's preferred)
* Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
* Experience in renewable energy a plus
