About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to conduct research under the joint supervision of Professor Richard Payne. The role involves applying subject‑matter expertise to deliver high‑quality research outcomes, supporting project goals, and contributing to the development of the discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with academic staff, researchers, and students within the discipline and broader faculty.
- Conduct research and scholarly activity independently or as part of a collaborative team.
- Develop and refine independent research skills under guidance from senior academics.
- Provide informal mentoring and support to students within the discipline.
- Contribute to administrative tasks and participate in school or faculty meetings.
- Support a positive and inclusive workplace culture aligned with the university's strategic goals.
About You
- A PhD degree in protein chemistry.
- Experience in peptide synthesis and protein synthesis using chemical ligation methods.
- Experience conducting original research and contributing to scholarly publications in the area of peptide and protein science.
- Experience developing and maintaining academic, industry, or professional partnerships.
- A developing research profile with potential for independent or collaborative projects.
- Proficiency in research design, data analysis, and the use of digital research tools.
