Full‐time fixed‐term position for up to 2 years. Base salary will be in the range $83,****** – $111,****** + 17% super (Academic Level A).

About This Opportunity

This is an exciting prospect for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to build an emerging research profile within a collaborative and ambitious research environment. Working alongside a close‐knit team of researchers, you will contribute to high‐quality, impactful research, develop your independent research trajectory, and engage in the broader academic life of the University. The role supports the University's purpose of creating change together through inquisitive, purposeful research with real‐world relevance.

Key Responsibilities
* Producing high‐quality research outputs aligned with discipline norms, including publication in reputable journals and presentation at conferences.
* Contributing to competitive research funding applications and collaborating with colleagues on joint research initiatives.
* Developing a coherent research programme and progressing knowledge translation, including pathways to impact and commercialisation where appropriate.
* Contributing to citizenship and service activities through collaboration, committee participation, and engagement with internal and external partners.
About You
* Completion or near completion of a PhD in a relevant discipline area.
* An emerging research profile with evidence of publications in reputable refereed journals.
* Demonstrated experience presenting research at conferences or similar scholarly forums.
* Evidence of contributions to, or participation in, applications for external research funding.
* Relevant technical expertise, with essential experience in avian embryo work, live confocal microscopy, and electroporation techniques.
* Desirable knowledge of neural crest biology.
* Experience contributing to supervision, mentoring, or researcher development activities.
* Willingness to contribute to internal service roles and engage with external stakeholders as your career develops.
