About the Role
ACESGroup is seeking an experienced and motivated Security Manager to oversee daily security operations at the Sydney Fish Market, one of Sydney's most iconic and vibrant precincts.
This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of the site, working closely with clients, tenants, and a dedicated on-site team to deliver a professional and customer-focused service.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Lead and coordinate the day-to-day operations of security officers across the site.
* Oversee access control, CCTV monitoring, incident response, and crowd management.
* Maintain strong stakeholder relationships with clients, tenants, and local authorities.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, WHS, and site-specific security procedures.
* Conduct incident reviews, prepare reports, and recommend continuous improvements.
* Support recruitment, rostering, and performance management of security personnel.
* Provide high-quality security services in accordance with client requirements and internal standards.
* Operate and utilise ACESGroup's technology platforms to support site safety and reporting.
* Maintain accurate records and complete reports through digital systems.
* Collaborate with team members and management to enhance operational efficiency.
Essential Criteria
* Proven experience in a Security Supervisor or Manager role (3+ years preferred)
* Strong leadership, communication, and incident management skills
* Proficiency in report writing, rostering, and shift coordination
* Sound understanding of WHS and emergency response procedures
* Ability to work a flexible roster, including weekends and early starts
* NSW Security Licence (1A)
* Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Competency Card (current)
* First Aid and CPR (current)
* Customer service experience
* Superior communication skills (written and verbal)
* Exceptional personal presentation
* Reliability and punctuality
* Ability to work on a 24/7 rotating roster
* Ability to pass a LLND (Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital) test
* Full NSW Driver Licence
* SEINS (or willing to obtain)
* Traffic Control and Implement Traffic Management Plan certificates/cards (or willing to obtain)
* White Card (or willing to obtain)
* Fire Warden (or willing to obtain)
* Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain)
