About the role
Tassie Kids Dental is seeking an experienced, part-time Receptionist who is also a qualified Dental Assistant to join our team in Hobart.
What you'll be doing
* All aspects of Reception, and more specifically:
o Working with children, and those adults in special needs space
o Responsibility to communicate directly with families, and referring health care professionals
o Management of stock, and ordering responsibility
o Working in day surgery facilities under general anaesthetic when needed
o Booking hospital admissions and follow-up after surgery
o Preparing reports
What we're looking for
* Completion of a Dental Assisting Certificate 3
* Working with Children and Vulnerable people check
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to put patients at ease and build trust. Ability to work as part of hospital team.
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control
* Proficient in using dental equipment and software, with the ability to adapt to new technologies
* A genuine interest in oral health and a desire to contribute to the wellbeing of children
* Flexibility to work part-time hours, approx 30-36 hours per week.
