I am looking for a Technical Officer for a government agency in Townsville. This role would be a great fit for a construction tradesperson or a works officer who is interested in transitioning into a more technical advisory position with Qld Government Agency
Duties include:
* Liaising with Government Stakeholders regarding Government buildings, Schools, Hospitals etc
* Assign the correct priority to the breakdown
* Provide technical advice to Contractors in terms of repair decisions
* Review Condition Reports provided by contractors
* Provide reporting on breakdown status
* Undertake on-site Condition assessment
About you:
* Trade qualification (mandatory)
* Intermediate level of MS Excel skills including being able to create spreadsheets to monitor construction tenders
* Experience in tendering and costing for the construction industry
* Demonstrated ability to communicate well with customers and in-house staff both written and verbal
