Financial Accountant Role
Randstad Senior Finance is partnering with a US-owned company in Melbourne's Tullamarine to fill an experienced financial accountant position. This hands-on accountant and proven leader will manage the finance team, oversee month-end processes, and report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
Main Responsibilities
* Team Leadership: Lead and review the workflow for a team of eight members.
* Closing Processes: Drive the end-of-month process with a target completion by the fifth working day.
* Statutory Compliance: Prepare and lodge BAS for multiple companies, FBT, Payroll Tax, and Co-Invest lodgements.
* Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly management reports.
* Cash Flow & Assets: Prepare weekly cash flow analysis and manage fixed asset schedules.
* Payroll Management: Review fortnightly payroll reports and reconciliations.
Key Requirements
* Staff Management Skills: Proven experience in managing a team of accounting professionals.
* Process Efficiency: Ability to drive month-end close processes efficiently.
* Compliance Expertise: Strong understanding of statutory compliance requirements.
* Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to present complex financial data.
* Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to prepare accurate financial reports.
