About the role
National Parks and Wildlife Service offers a Project Officer position to oversee the coordination and management of cattle removal activities within the North Coast Branch, notably in the Coffs Coast and Clarence areas. The role serves as the primary liaison for stakeholders, supports the development and implementation of cattle management plans, and maintains stock‐free parks in line with the NPWS Livestock Management Policy.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate cattle removal activities and coordinate implementations of destocking programs.• Liaise with lessees, permit holders, Local Lands Service, Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, NSW Police Force, and other key organisations.• Develop, monitor, and report on project plans, timelines, budgets, and contract administration.
About you
• Strong communication skills to develop plans and strategies and build and maintain relationships.• Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision and thrive in a diverse and dynamic environment.• Experience in undertaking on‐ground operations to achieve project goals.
Knowledge and experience
• Experience in development and delivery of projects, including planning, monitoring of timelines, budgets, and reporting, as well as contract administration.• Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant working experience in project management.
