CELOTTI WORKFORCE is looking for Mechanical Fitters for a project in Currumbin, QLD.
Our client is a respected name in the manufacturing industry, specializing in custom mining and industrial equipment. Their product line includes winches, hydraulic power units, and cable handling equipment, alongside a range of over 25 standard products.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Installing pumps, valves, motors, and pipework as part of the plant's water treatment and desalination systems.
* Maintenance reverse osmosis (RO) units, clarifiers, and filtration systems.
* Aligning rotating machinery (pumps, compressors) using precision tools.
* Installing ancillary equipment like heat exchangers, chemical dosing systems, and conveyors.
* Conducting preventative maintenance: lubrication, alignment, tensioning belts, and inspecting bearings
* Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical faults in pumps, valves, and motors.
* Replacing worn or damaged components: seals, gaskets, bearings, and impellers.
* Overhauling high-pressure pumps and centrifuges.
* Testing repaired equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Our Ideal Candidate:
* Hold relevant Australian Recognised Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificates
* Confined Spaces & Working at Heights Licenses (within 2 years)
* Experience on a Desal Plant desirable.
* Drivers Licence + reliable vehicle
* Good communication skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
