About the Role
A community health organization is seeking an experienced Children's Occupational Therapist to support children aged 0-19 with disabilities and delays.
Key Responsibilities
* Assessing Needs: Conduct thorough assessments of children's needs, identifying areas for intervention and developing strategies for improvement.
* Prescribing Equipment: Provide recommendations for equipment and adaptations to support children's development and participation in daily activities.
* Collaborating with Schools and Health Professionals: Work closely with schools, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure consistent support and communication.
* Providing Professional Development Opportunities: Support the growth and development of staff members through training, mentorship, and coaching.
Requirements
* Registration as an Occupational Therapist: Possession of a current registration as an Occupational Therapist with the relevant professional body.
* Experience in Community Settings: Proven experience working in community-based settings, supporting children with disabilities and delays.
* Possession of a Passion for Improving Children's Lives: A genuine passion for improving the lives of children and their families, with a commitment to delivering high-quality services.
