SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER - ICT TRANSFORMATION
We are currently partnering with a large Queensland Government organisation seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major ICT transformation initiative.
This role will oversee the replacement of a critical grants portal platform, improving scalability, performance and service delivery during large scale disaster events. The successful candidate will manage the full project lifecycle, coordinating delivery across multiple internal teams, vendors and government delivery partners.
THE ROLE
You will be responsible for leading the end to end delivery of a major ICT platform replacement, ensuring the solution meets performance, compliance and scalability requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading end to end delivery of a major portal replacement program
* Coordinating delivery across multiple internal teams, vendors and external partners
* Managing project governance, reporting, RAID logs and delivery planning
* Engaging senior stakeholders and project boards to support decision making
* Managing vendor delivery to ensure outcomes are delivered on time and within budget
* Working within established government ICT governance and assurance frameworks
* Identifying and managing project risks, issues and dependencies across workstreams
* The program will replace an existing grants portal that supports community recovery services and emergency financial assistance during disaster events across Queensland
IDEAL CANDIDATE
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Demonstrated experience delivering complex ICT projects end to end
* Experience working within Queensland Government or large public sector environments
* Strong vendor and stakeholder management experience
* Experience operating within structured governance and assurance frameworks
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Project management certification such as PRINCE2, PMP or equivalent
