About the role
We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our team at The pickers union' in North Geelong, VIC. This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for preparing delicious and innovative meals for our customers. You will play a key role in maintaining our reputation for exceptional food and service.
What you'll be doing
* Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to a consistently high standard
* Ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and to food safety standards
* Collaborating with the front-of-house team to provide an exceptional dining experience
* Maintaining stock levels and placing orders as needed
* Assisting with menu development and testing new recipes
* Supervising and training kitchen staff as required
What we're looking for
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Chef in a similar hospitality environment
* Formal culinary training or qualifications
* Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Passion for creating delicious, high-quality meals
