Responsibilities:
* Conduct concurrent review of clinical documentation
* Identify opportunities to optimise coding and identify missed revenue opportunities associated with clinical documentation, coding and DRG allocation
* Promote continuous improvement of coding accuracy through coding optimisation activities
* Spearhead initiatives that foster clinician engagement to enhance real-time, high-quality clinical documentation for improved coding and DRG outcomes
* Collaborate with the Clinical Coding Service to address documentation deficits impacting the coding process
* Conduct data analysis related to coding and DRG data
* Work closely with coding advisory bodies to find solutions for challenging coding scenarios and queries
* Maintain a register of review activities and provide monthly reports to the Director of Business Services
* Stay up-to-date on changes in clinical practice that may affect patient complexity
* Support the development of educational materials and resources related to clinical documentation and coding data
