Club Menangle is on the lookout for an experienced Chef to join our award-winning venue and team. Experience a dynamic work environment that values creativity, fosters growth, and celebrates achievements
We are currently seeking skilled, energetic bistro chefs to join our dynamic team. You will work alongside our Sous Chef and Head Chef to manage daily kitchen activities, including aiding with menu/meal preparation, and ensuring food quality and freshness.
In the role, you will be responsible for:
* Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
* Meal preparation and all tasks in relation
* Ensuring excellent presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
* Ensuring all food and other items are stored properly
* Following WHS policy and process
* Ability to work flexible rosters and between outlets when required
* Cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas
* Must wear uniform and be well presented at all times as per the guidelines in the food safety policy and procedure
You will bring:
* Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
* Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
* Pizza experience (desirable)
* Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
* Ability to work in a team
* Great communication and organisation skills
* Clean and neat presentation
* Ability to stay focused and calm under pressure
* Own Transport is an advantage
Hours of work will be on a rotating roster - Weekend availability is essential
