Family & Carer Mental Health Support Worker
CatholicCare provides a broad range of programs and services caring for the wellbeing of individuals, families, and communities, especially the vulnerable and at risk.
We are seeking an individual with knowledge and qualifications in the Mental Health sector or working towards a minimum qualification of Certificate IV in Mental Health or equivalent, and with an understanding of the impact of mental illness on carers.
This position provides emotional and practical support to people who are caring for others impacted by mental illness. In the role, you will provide support and educative workshops to carers and families, on an individual basis or in groups.
You will need to be organised with excellent time management skills with well-developed communication skills to build supportive relationships with carers and with other key stakeholders.
The position is part-time, based at our Bathurst office, with a maximum term contract until 26 June 2026. If further funding is made available, an additional contract may be offered to the incumbent.
