About the role
As a Student Operations Administration Officer, you will play an essential part in supporting the smooth and accurate delivery of student administration across TAFE Gippsland. This role is crucial in ensuring that back of house processes including data entry, verification and reporting are completed in a timely manner and meet legislative and compliance requirements.
You will work closely with the Senior Team Leader Government Reporting and serve as a trusted resource for staff and educators across the organisation. Your work will contribute directly to high quality student outcomes by supporting everything from VASS processing and student lifecycle data to certificate production, enrolment updates and day to day administrative queries. With a focus on consistent, clear communication and a seamless student experience, you will help keep our systems running smoothly and our stakeholders well supported.

You bring initiative and a strong sense of organisation to your work. You thrive in a busy environment and enjoy juggling a range of tasks whether it is managing student data, responding to staff queries, supporting teaching teams or helping maintain compliance and broader government requirements.
You have strong attention to detail, and you pride yourself on the quality and accuracy of your work. You are confident working across systems, quick to learn new technologies and comfortable interpreting processes and legislative requirements. Most importantly, you value collaboration and enjoy working with a wide range of internal stakeholders to deliver a positive and student focused experience.
Qualifications and Experience
* A Diploma level qualification or higher in business, administration or a related discipline or less formal qualifications with at least one year of experience in administration (desirable)
* Strong administrative experience, ideally within the education or TAFE sector
* High level proficiency with Microsoft Office and confidence working with databases or student management systems
* Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder engagement skills
* Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy under pressure
* A commitment to high quality work, problem solving and student focused service
