Business Development Manager for Commercial Construction

This exciting role offers an opportunity to manage existing accounts and drive new business growth by identifying opportunities in commercial repaint and new construction projects. You will be instrumental in nurturing relationships with existing customers while targeting new business opportunities within the commercial construction sector.
As a Business Development Manager, you will need to understand the activities, project pipeline, and future business direction of commercial builders in your territory. You will engage directly with builders, developers, and architects to generate specifications, drive revenue, and promote the value of our products.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive, hands-on leader with strong technical skills and the ability to navigate complex construction site dynamics. They will possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively both on-site and remotely.
* Manage and expand relationships with key tier one and tier two builders, focusing on both account management and business development.
* Generate leads independently while collaborating with the specification team to support project specifications.

* Proven experience in business development or account management, ideally within the commercial construction industry.
* Strong technical background, with the ability to understand and create project specifications and navigate construction site dynamics.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively both on-site and remotely.
* A results-driven mindset with the ability to balance account management and new business development.
* Knowledge of the construction industry, preferably with experience in paints or related fields like steel or plasterboard.
