We're looking for friendly, confident and community-minded Casual Lifeguards to join our team at the Northam Aquatic Facilities. If you enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and helping people feel safe, this could be the perfect role for you
As a Lifeguard, you'll play a vital role in the safe and enjoyable operation of our pools. You'll maintain active supervision of patrons, support daily facility operations, and provide great customer service — all while contributing to a welcoming and positive environment for the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Actively supervise patrons to ensure a safe aquatic environment.
Enforce facility rules and respond confidently and calmly to incidents or emergencies.
Perform rescues and administer First Aid/CPR as required.
Carry out cleaning tasks and general upkeep of pool areas, equipment and amenities.
Assist with kiosk/entry point of sale and handle cash accurately.
Report any maintenance issues to management.
Maintain high levels of concentration and awareness, especially during peak periods.
About You:
Royal Life Saving Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or equivalent)
CPR and First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011)
Current Working with Children Check
Unrestricted C Class Driver's Licence
Strong swimming ability and confidence in the water
Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
Able to stay attentive, proactive and calm under pressure
