This role involves providing expert clinical advice to patients, students, and other healthcare providers, as well as participating in health promotion activities within the organisation and the community.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement structures and processes to support the establishment of primary health care services for the Barkly Region.
* Build the capacity of community members to make nutritious food choices by delivering education sessions in various settings, including cooking demos.
* Contribute to the public debate on healthcare.
Requirements
* Tertiary qualification from a recognized Australian University or equivalent status recognized by the Dietitians Association of Australia or other affiliate of the Federation of Nutrition Organisations.
* Eligibility for registration in Australia.
* A thorough understanding of the primary health care system and issues relevant to closing the gap in health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
