**About the role**
The Physiotherapy Team Leader is responsible for leading the provision of physiotherapy services to improve and maintain the mobility, independence and positive wellbeing of residence. Welcoming your experience and innovative ideas, you will break new ground to help develop our Allied Health program in the Toowoomba region.
In this role you will:
- Assess individual physiotherapy needs of residents; develop physiotherapy programs in consultation with the resident and other care staff and health professionals.
- Provide leadership of the team within the area of responsibility; facilitate the achievement of organisational strategies and delikvery of high quality services.
- Provide physiotherapy in accordance with programs and resident care plans.
- Review and evaluate the physiotherapy programs regularly to ensure effective treatment.
- Promote health prevention issues relevant to residences in an aged care setting; develop falls prevention strategies for individual residents and respond appropriately to all falls.
- Ensure physiotherapy equipment is maintained in a safe working order.
- Maintain documentation and write reports relevant to care plans
- Liaise with external regulatory as delegated but the Service Manager
- Maintain accuate Aged Care Fuinding Instrument documentation, including directives for staff and ongoing treatment documentation accurately, as delegated bt rhe service manaer,.
**About you**
You will be a dedicated and experienced Physiotherapist who is often recognised for your enthusiasm, imagination and creativity. You will have strong experience in Aged Care, that will allow you to hit the ground running. As the Physiotherapy Team Leader, ideally your experience and qualifications include:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy,
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a physiotherapist,
- Applied knowledge of ACFI and accreditation requirements, in relation to the provision of Physiotherapy,
- Previous supervision experience, or desire to move into supervisory role,
- Current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain.
